It gives precise metrics of the motion pattern of the horse and is a tool used by veterinarians and veterinary physiotherapists, in over 50 countries worldwide.
It gives increased precision in the measurement of the biomechanics of the trotting horse, tracking over 100 anatomical key points, to quantify gait asymmetry and to detect even the smallest of irregularities for the entire horse. This is particularly useful in cases of very subtle lameness.
We are thrilled to be integrating Sleip advanced software into our vast array of cutting-edge services, allowing us to have the added benefit of objective gait analysis, as a quantitative analysis, to our subjective gait assessments (what the eye can see), which can at times be inaccurate, or inconsistent, particularly for subtle cases, that can be invisible to the naked eye.
This technology helps us to establish a baseline for horses, who can then be monitored over time, should poor performance become an issue, promoting early detection of problems and making preventative intervention possible.

Please note, that any horse who is deemed to be lame, will under every circumstance, be referred to a qualified veterinarian, for a correct diagnosis and treatment.
